anyone here use Spotify? basically it's just an online music streaming service. I don't think it's available in the US yet, but it's in a few countries in Europe like the UK.

http://www.spotify.com/en/

anyone who uses it have any cool playlists they want to share?

I mostly use it to check out bands I've not heard of. Or other songs from bands where I only have a few songs.

I've been using it quite a bit lately, mainly like you, to check out new bands. I have it on my ipod now which is pretty cool, you can download playlists on it and use the music whenever you want without having to eb connected to the internet, just like downloading the music.

Not available in my country.
Not quite a shock, even food is pretty rare here, let alone win music sites.

yea I paid for it last month to see it it's worth it. if you can afford to spend a tenner a month on it and you have an iphone/ipod touch/posh phone then I think it is worth it just so you can download upto 3333 songs in playlists and use it offline.

I considered pro but decided it's too expensive when you don't physically own the songs, just the ability to access them. I already own all of my music anyway and £120 a year is a lot of money!

I know, I thought that when I first read it!

yea, even though you're basically downloading the songs onto your phone/ipod/computer, you can't do anything else with them other than listen to them through spotify. I suppose it's worth it if you would use it offline on your phone alot, but if you're just using it on your comouter then there's no point really. depends how much you usually spend on music as well I guess.

I have spare invites, Boni. like.. 12 of them...

Yeah, i pay for pro so i can use it on my phone.

Streams well over 3g and Edge, and even works (Not greatly, but still) on a good GPRS signal.

Love it. Also means I can save my phone's memory for more apps! :D
