I don't believe so, Sum 41 hasn't given us a exact date of when there going into the studio just that it would be somethime after the holidays. We will proberly hear from them in maybe a day or two but sit tight the now. I'll possitive that they'll be in before the end of January. (They better be otherwise I'll look like a Divvi now after what I just said.

They said they'll enter in the studio in middle of january. And Cone said to Heather that they will enter 11. Jan. So yes.

Take a look at these:

Stevo & Deryck loaded all the gear into the new rehearsal space... but we forgot sticks and guitar picks. So we ended early and went drinkin

Our quiet listening party turned into a huge shouting match last night over Deryck and Tom's decision to "redecorate" the front lounge

Deryck invites me to come by his place to listen to a few new songs he had written. We get to Deryck's and crack a bottle of red wine. Its my favorite red wine right now called Toasted Head Merlot. 1 glass in Deryck says "don't worry about how much you drink cause you can stay over tonight". We start listening to songs, drinking wine, listening to songs, drinking wine, on and on. We then realize that we had just drank the rest of the stash of wine that he had. So then he walks in the room with a big 'ol bottle of Grey Goose Vodka. A bunch of glasses of Vodka later my motor skills were gone. I couldn't string a sentence together. Deryck says we should go make pizza. The pizza was great but I was so drunk that I forgot that I am lactose intolerant and the pizza had loads of cheese on it. I should apologize to Deryck and his couch for the smells that came out of me after that.

What I'm trying to say is, even though they start to do recording, they're not necessarily going to be that effective sessions. So if they enter the studio now, I'm not expecting them to be finished any time soon.

I do hope those will be effective sessions haha, I want them to record this one faster than UH, so it will be ready for a June-July release at least. I fear a fall 2010 release ><

Apparently it's going to come out in the summer, but how true they stay to that I don't know. If this record is going to sound "big" like Deryck described, they might be in the studio about as long as they were with Underclass Hero or maybe even longer. I guess depending on how perfect they want these songs. Hopefully with Gil being in the studio now it might not take as long.

We might want the songs now, but these will be songs that will be listened to forever. So they need to be the best they can.

Sum 41 are usually pretty quick at recording in the studio as far as I can remember. However, I think the more ambitious the album, the longer the band stays in the studio.

i suppose it depends what they are going into the studio with. I mean if they have a good idea of what songs they want on the album and don't have to work too much on the songs to get them album perfect, the recording process shouldn't take too long.

If my memory serves me right, Cone said in the last update that updates will continue in January and Deryck said just "I guess.."
