Them Crooked Vultures
Their album comes out tomorrow. I pre-ordered it off iTunes. I actually forgot all about them over the summer until I saw this review in the paper. I'm digging the single, New Fang.

I thought/ hoped they'd be more like foo fighters, I'm not fond of the QotSA guy's voice. But they're alright.

Heard the debut album, its pretty fuckin' good! Dave Grohl rocks on the drums, but I'm really not a fan of the voice of the guy from QOTSA so kinda hard for me to really get into the music because of his voice, but the music is really cool and all, its very simple but groovy, if you know what I mean.

Me too. I'm way too excited about Rush and Opeth now though. I think I'll do it later. There's just so much good music around...Still Waiting wrote:i might download their album just to check them out
PS. Everybody listen to Opeth now. They will blow your mind.
Hentaimans N00B! Mess with me and before you know it, you end up in a coffin. Jealous?

Re: Them Crooked Vultures
I agree on most of the stuff you listen to, but I have to say that Opeth are pretty fuckin' boring. I mean, I love the first 2 minutes of The Drapery Falls, its sounds really cool, but I never actually listened to the whole 11 minutes of that song haha. They are very talented musicians and all, but god, I have to say, they need to know when to stop with all that technical progressive stuff.HilgaMan wrote:Me too. Re: Them Crooked Vultures
^ Haha saying your opinion is never bad
I know many people think Opeth is way overrated. I didn't like them first either. It's a very time-taking and "hard" band. But I think they are not showing off with their musical abilities. I mean, there's no "Look I can play a superultramegafast guitar solo!!!11" type things going on. I think everything they do just adds some more to the atmosphere of the song. That's why I love 'em. But, like I said, nothing's wrong with ur opinion :) Afterall, I like 85% of the stuff you listen to :D
