So what you think of it, personally I believe that there taken Google Chrome very seriously. I think it looks pretty cool but we'll have to wait and see. This will be the default settings used but I believe you can switch back to the normal interface too.
Embracing Glass: Toolbar and Tabs using Glass. Buttons translucent and slightly glossy to meld with the toolbar. Raised 3D look to achieve tactile "feel".
Page and Tools Buttons: Page and Tools on the Navigation Bar.
Bookmark Bar: Bookmarks bar on by default. New Bookmarks "widget" containing the bookmarks menu contents.
Home Tab: Home tab containing your homepage to start. Expanded functionality planned for 4.0.
Changes for Linux
Consistent Back/Forward Buttons: Use the same back/forward shape as on the other platforms. The back button would use the same texture as the other buttons however it would be round and larger.
Buttons vs Icons: Switching to a button+glyph style for the toolbar items. This would be instead of the more representational style that is widely used. It also is a deviation from the common system standard of having icons and then a button shape on hover.
Curvier Tab Shape: Match the tabs to the proposed tabs on Windows and Mac while keeping the native texture and color.
Removing Toolbar Separators: Reduces visual complexity as well as maintaining external consistency.

I really have no idea, It's not even got an alpha release so I can't tell. If there using their heads than I assume that they will have separate processes.
lol one of the reasons I didn't like Chrome was because of the tabs being moved. But it looks pretty cool here so I will probably download it when the finished version is out.
