Vinyl Sounds Better

Post by RODNEYMULLEN »

I was so wrong, i thought people who thought vinyl sounded better were retarded, but they do. My dads crazy about his audio equipment, he has some of the best shit available, like his record player, the needle in his record player, speakers, receiver, etc... But i never took him seriously. I have both the remastered and original cd's of Smash by Offspring, so i bought the record to prove him wrong. I made sure everything was equalized perfectly. But the record sounded better than both original and remastered versions of the cd. So i guess analog does sound better. I don't really give a shit though, the difference isn't to drastic, just records are a little more clear. It's not that big of a difference to get me to buy a record player though. Plus a record getting scratched is pretty much inevitable and even if you have a brand new record you'll still hear small little ticks every now and then. But overall the quality is better.

you have to spend loads to really tell the difference between analog and digital. i don't just buy records for the quality though. i prefer the look of records, the cool colours and artwork it comes with and also the collectin g part of it. its really geeky, but i love spending ages looking for a certain record, then finally finding it at a reasonable price, buying it and finally getting it home to look at it, play it and just add it to the collection.

i am a geek.

My dad broke our record player. I do admire the Combat Rock record in my basement, though.
