Gibson

Post by Max »

I got a guitar from Gibson a while back. A Les Paul 1960's Classic Goldtop and then it started cracking so I sent it to Gibson and they were kind enough to replace it even though it probably wasn't their fault.

They are replacing it with a Les Paul 2008 Standard Goldtop as they no longer made the classic. But then when it came to sending it to me the customer service just went down hill!

They said they would send it me at the end of December. Originally they said we would have to wait a month for them to send some over to France from the USA. Then at the start of January they said they would said it at the end of January and then it go to February and we emailed them and the guy who we'd been talking to was no longer working in customer service so that had been a waste of time.

Then they finally sent it from The Netherlands and it should have been here about a week ago, even after they more than once assured us that they sent it to our HOME address. It never arrived. Then the shop that we bought the original one off then emails me and tells me that my guitar has ended up there..

W-T-F?! So here I am. Still no guitar and waiting for the shop to send me my new one. The only reason I havn't phoned them up and gone crazy at them is because the guitar they are sending is worth about twice as much as the old one! Haha!

You sure the 2008 model(£1699) is worth more money?

Anyway, if it started to fall apart you got an amazing trade right there!

Amazing guitar :)

Well, you CAN go wrong with Gibson :P Their low end models are inferior to the high end Epiphones. So with the low end models you get less for more money :P

So you're telling me you just gave away a 1960s VINTAGE Les Paul that's probably worth a million times more than the one they will send you?!

I just died a little on the inside.

Yeah dude, the 2008 is not worth more than the 1960s Vintage one. I mean, 1950s and 1960s Gibson Les Pauls are worth so much more! Those are fuckin' vintage, dude!
