EP Release Sooner than we though?

I heard on a radio station (89X) this morning that they were gonna release the EP in the next few weeks. And thats also the case on wikipedia. Is that true? If so that is fucking awsome!

well I don't think it will be that soon. didn't cone say that summer was a better guess? if earlier then that, I'd say april or may. but I wouldn't expect anything before that. and I wouldn't trust wikipedia or a radio station lol

But seriously, think about it. EPs usually 4 to 6 songs. And he said they had 6 songs and were finishing them up, and that he was happy with all of them. So even if 89x was bullshiting, it still shouldn't be to long before the release. I was lucky i heard it cause i was in woodshop at the time.

If it's still going to be an EP, there's a possibility that it will be out sooner. But if they all of a sudden decided on a full-length, then maybe it'll get pushed as far as a Summer release, which is what Cone mentioned before right?

sum 41 said in the past weeks they had 7-8 new songs, and now deryck say he have wrote 6 new songs.
they have by far over 12 songs. i think they will release a new album in springtime.

Yeah, I really think it'll be a full-length and since they have enough material for a full-length I really prefer to wait till like April-May or even the summer if it means a full length album with like 12-13 songs! :D

I mean, Steve said that of the 6 songs he heard, it sounds good and dark and all... from the 6 he heard... that means there are more. And Cone layed bass for only 6 songs for now... which is also like a hint, there are more. You know, if both cases it could've been like Steve would say "I heard all the songs and they are great, the EP gonna be great" or Deryck would say "Cone finished recording the bass for all the songs on the EP" so i'm 99% sure they are considering (and probably will do it) doing it a full-length album.

Id be awesome to be hearing new stuff in a few weeks, but I'd rather wait a little longer for a whole new full-length

Cool. Glad your keeping up to date. I would say summer would be a closer date but you never know could be earlier. As for titles. Some song titles we use when doing demos change so the titles you saw might change but some may stay the same. Its hard to say. There'll be more update coming though.

That radio station probably picked up the fact that Deryck said it would be out 'early next year'.

It is possible that is true, Deryck insists that he has many songs and wants that we hear them already!

I do hope it is out soon but I tend only to believe the word of the band themself, sometimes Island Records too casue I tend to get E-Mails from them now and again.
