Well, since I finally got a camcorder, I put it to the test and recorded some songs and put them on YouTube. So those of you who wondered how my Deryck Whibley replica sounds can finally hear it in action, though of course it won't be quality but good enough. I'll have a couple Blink-182 covers up soon. I'm just too lazy to put them up now at the moment. So far it's just Still Waiting, Over My Head, The Hell Song, Underclass Hero, Always and Confusion and Frustration. I took most of these on one take, so there's going to be mistakes and fuck-ups. I throw in some extra stuff too, if you know the songs well enough to find them.
Still Waiting
Always (Dedicated to the ladies of TNS ) lol

Awesome that you did that little Cone tribute in C and F.
Cone looked said when Deryck and him had that discussion. He'll feel better if he sees your vid.
YAY CONE!

The amp I have is just a Fender Frontman 25R. I'm also using a Line 6 PODxt to help my amp sound more like a Marshall. I've been playing guitar since I was 15. But I don't take lessons, so everything I know is learned from watching videos and covering songs.Bizzy-C92 wrote:And also want to know......how long you play the guitar...???....

Re: My Crappy Covers
No, I have the Squier in olympic white. The guitar I use for most of those covers is a Fender '72 Telecaster Deluxe that I customized to be just like Deryck's.wiggs1441 wrote:sick!!! You have both guitars?

^I hope that comes out pretty straight on your computer. If not, I'll take a picture from the tab book.

Re: My Sum 41 Covers
I'm using the tabs straight out of the Does This Look Infected? tab book. I'll try to up some pictures of the tabs (just the solo) soon. I might do some Chuck covers too once I practice those songs more. I haven't played them in a year or so. I forgot how fast some of them were. But in the mean time, enjoy a couple of Blink-182 covers!Bizzy-C92 wrote:what are the tabs of the Hell Song solo.... you're using...???...

Re: My Sum 41 Covers
I tried taking pictures, but it didn't turn out quite like I expected, so I won't be able to put them up. But yes, I do have the Chuck tab book. If I can ever find a Guitar Pro torrent that actually works for the Mac, I might copy those tabs into a Guitar Pro version instead.Bizzy-C92 wrote:Ok thx.....It would be really nice to up picture of the tab...solo...The Hell Song.....and the tab of Pieces...=)........because I can play Pieces, but not in the way deryck plays it.....=)Jeremy wrote: I'm using the tabs straight out of the Does This Look Infected? tab book. Here's a Pull the Curtain cover that has different guitar parts that I made up, of course, I make some mistakes. I dedicate this one to sumfan because of his old site. lol
