Question about Pickups for Guitarists

The height of the pickup matters!
Your pickups has an amount of gain, if the pickup is higher - the gain is bigger.
see, the two pickups aren't the same, and if they are, they don't work the same because of the place.. that's why you need to balance them in their height. when you do a setup to your guitar you need to do this. mine has a problem because i bought a new pickup (Kent Armsrtong MotherBucker Hot) and he's amazingly loud (27.5k!!!) and i need to get my guitar for a professional setup.

so basically: the height can increase/decrease the gain if the pickup is higher/lower.

Yeah, I was goofing round with one of the poles of my bridge pickup. Before, it was slanted, top facing down, bottom facing up. Then I turned the screw a bit and the bottom flattened out. I've been trying all day to get it back to where it was, but I lost my place.

The sound doesn't sound dramatically different. But it just has something about it that doesn't feel the same.

Of course it does. The higher the pick-up the more output.

My bridge pickup (JB Humbucker) is slanted. The bottom is higher than the top. It wasn't like that before I had a 500k pot installed. I was wondering if that's normal.
