Hey guys I have a black tele, not the delux but Its close enough i wanted to add the red xs for decoration, any suggestions on what to use?

Electrical tape ftw. But you might have to go over it a few times, depending on how transparent the tape is.

Lmfao as tempting as blood sounds I might go with the tape but 2 questions. If i put tape on my guitar and leave it for a few weeks then decide to take it off will it rip up paint with it? And whats the best place to get some red electrical tape?

I had red electrical tape on my guitar for like two years, and then decided I wanted to take it off. It didn't do anything to the guitar's paint, there was just a mark where you can see the outlines of the X's because of the dust that collected around the sticky edges of the tape.

And you can buy electrical tape in any hardware store or any place that sells stuff relating to home electronics.

I actually have red, yellow, green, black and blue tape. I was tempted to change the colors of my Tele, but I have the current red X's just as I want them I don't want to change them.

Well I dunno what you mean by normal red tape but electrical tape is basically like rubber tape if that helps.
