DUDE. There are like 100 different sets of songs with the exact same chord progression.
Adam (Open Your Eyes), Amy (Mr. Penguin), and Sasha (Young,Dumb,And Full Of Cum...) are my noobs.
Claudia is my grand-noob.
Lisette (bunny) is my great-grand noob.

I love playing Letters to God but... I don't think they have the same chord progression :(
Don't try to kill a mockingbird, they're the fucking mafia of the animal kingdom.

Letters to God is the best BCR song imo. It always reminds me of No It Isn't by +44 for some reason though, not any Sum songs.

It's not a problem when bands have songs that share the same chord progression.
It's a problem when a single band has an album full of songs that share the same chord progression.

Re: Sum 41 vs. Boxcar Racer
I think Sum 41 is better, but only because they have written 5 studio albums, I can guarantee you if Boxcar Racer was around as long as Sum 41, they would be so much better. Then again, Boxcar Racer wasn't meant to be a long term band, just an experimental phase for tom.

if boxcar racer was like what +44 was today, then they would be equal to or better than the sums

Re: Sum 41 vs. Boxcar Racer
Its not like they purposely used the same chord progression. I'm sure they both found the chord progression on their own and it just turned out to have been used before.adrianSum wrote:damn musicians need to be more original
