Dammit I Changed again has the same rhythm guitar part as Thanks For Nothing and Mr. Amsterdam. Still Waiting has almost an identical lead part, though, and I very rarely see people point that one out, which surprises me.

Oh yeah, All I Want by Offspring also has a similar rhythm guitar part as Thanks For Nothing and Mr. Amsterdam.

That's probably because it's an obvious one. Pieces/The Scientist weren't compared either.

It has the same lead part as Mr. Amsterdam but not the same rhythm part as Thanks For Nothing. Its the same progression but the chords are all different. Do you mean Still Waiting's lead is almost identical to Dammit I Changed Again's? Because I don't hear any similarity.

does anyone else notice a slight similarity between the intro of "Dumpweed" by Blink and the intro of "Underclass Hero"?

and for the record, i'm not accusing Sum 41 of copying music from Green Day. i'm just stating that i think both the intros sound similar

i can deff. hear the similarity, but thats only because i was listening for it. the other times i listened to take a look at yourself, i never thought of letterbomb

can't say I blame him though, I feel really bummed out since I can't go onto the media section now :( even though I've been here awhile. I'm just not a crazy poster like most people, don't have much to say that hasn't already been said.

although I think he was just fixing a typo to be honest....

and about the topic at hand, well I think everyone just as bad as sum 41 in this way. I really do. so I don't really blame anyone for sounding alike or using the same chords. this is is pop punk after all, you're not listening to the right music if you want something 100% different every song

I do notice the similarities pointed out in the video.
But hey, lots of times chord progressions, vocal melodies, lyrics, are similar to each song. It's pop punk! they mostly use power chords.

Let's all enjoy the fact that Sum 41 is still together, making great songs. :glad:
