Re: Rate The Latest Movie You've Seen

Ah. Just watched Grave of The Fireflies.. Man, how depressing can a film be? Excellent movie though, maybe the best animation-film I've seen. 10/10

Re: You have never been to a concert of the sum 41?

I've seen them once in Helsinki. Was intense.
I hope everyone who wishes to see them would get a chance.

Re: No media section on the new TNS

I've known this fact for years, yet I still don't have the 200 posts. Curses.. maybe one day.. Though at my pace it's going to take erm.. quite a long time, even if i'm only 25 posts!! short.
So, what I'm really trying to say here is that good luck writing those 200 posts...

Re: Stevo Quit?!?!

Well.. This sucks. I hope Stevo will be happy in whatever he's going to do now. If this had happened few years ago I would have said it's over for Sum 41, but the Sum 41 today is pretty much a "Deryck Project", I dunno' if it matters who is playing the drums. Though I wonder how Fat Lip is...

Re: Fall Out Boy

Last year? Didn't they break up like in 2008 or something?
Oh... Well, I dunno', but at least they haven't been relevant since 2008 or whatever.
I guess this http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/gen ... music.html was why I thought of last year though.

I thought they had disbanded the group last year.. oh well. Guess that was too good to be true.

From a bit of googling it's a "banana plug" lol, I've always just jammed the bare wire in there...
Yeah. I use bare wire too. But I can see why someone would use banana plug though. Some speakers and amps are constructed in a way it gets hard to put the wire in...

Re: Sound System Setup

I thought you could get really decent subwoofers for around £40? Does anybody know what kind of connection passive speakers make with an amp? One of my friends says it's a 3.5mm jack but I'm sure that's not right. I personally have an Audio Pro subwoofer which was around 500 € when I bought it seve...

Re: Sound System Setup

If you have only few hundred dollars to spend DON'T buy a subwoofer. Cheap subwoofers just ruin the music, they may work for movies, but for music it's a no-no. I suggest you try to buy the best speakers you can with that money, maybe second-hand. Also if your room is small you'll do fine with small...

They have collaborated with Ludacris, Tenacious D, Unwritten Law, & Iggy Pop that I know of!
They also did the "Walk this way"-cover with Nelly and Ja Rule.

Re: Studio Update "Movie"

I'd rather be a better strummer than jizz all over the fucking fretboard. I agree with Deryck on this one.. However, truth be told Deryck is not that great of a strummer either. Sure he most of the time stays in rhythm and all, but it's not like Sum 41 has any weird chord-structures or strum-patter...

Re: Controversial Opinions

Restricting voting rights to a privileged class is an idiotic solution no matter how you look at it. The things mentioned in the above post + dozens of other simple reasons as well should make it quite obvious. In the US this is actually already a problem, since there are literally millions of peopl...

Re: Controversial Opinions

You don't need to apologize for anything. You want to tell me that in your country, or in any other democratic country, it really works that way? I wanted to imply that democracy is just a pretty word used to describe an ugly system. They speak of capitalism(the highest stage of it) trying to make ...

Re: Controversial Opinions

Democracy gives way to nepotism, which allows stupid people like Paris Hilton to be much richer than many people who actually have at least some brain in their heads. I need to apologize before I write anything, but I don't get that at all. How do you relate nepotism to democracy and then further d...

Re: Controversial Opinions

All governments will eventually devolve into fascist dictatorships(or something of the sort) that will only take every opportunity to restrict our rights to express ourselves. Haha. That's actually a quite common perception when it comes to political thinkers. Likes such as Machiavelli and Aristotl...

Re: All The Good Sh!t Question

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't go as far as guess that Deryck doesn't like No Reason, I mean they play it quite often and so. I would guess that the songs Deryck thinks of when he talks of Chuck in a non-good way, are ones like "I'm Not the One" or "The Bitter End." Basica...
