also I've seen some articles about deryck's situation on different music magazine sites and the comments are mostly mean spirited wich is pretty sad. people have no respect nowadays. The most i've seen aren't mean spirited, but I really hate those people coming up with 'in too deep' jokes right now

I find it sad that it almost seemed as if everyone was supporting his drinking. It's obvious we knew he was an alcoholic even when I heard him say it first person at one of his shows. I think the doctor meant if he drinks another drink, then he's going to end up in the same situation (or even dead)...

I really hope he's gonna get his shit together now. At least it looks like he realises he needs to get his life back on track. I think it's good that he's so open about this. Hopefully he can now just focus on getting healthy and writing some really awesome music

They should never take Fat Lip off the set list, I was at a Yellowcard concert in february and during the soundchecks of one of the opening bands fat lip was played on the radio and EVERYBODY shouted along

This obviously sucks, I always felt like their music made my life 2% better, but this fucked my day pretty bad.

I always felt like Sum 41 was a combination of Deryck's writing and their (mostly Stevo's) of stage antics. I really hate this happens before I got to see them live
