They've done plenty of political songs. Lyrically I think the Jester is actually more interesting than the ones on OID but that seemed much more like a protest against the institution of the presidency rather than this.

Think their relationship with Greig Nori is very interesting cause their recording process changed so much and Deryck starting producing all the albums himself IIRC.
