I'd shove an extra gig of RAM in it... It should upgrade fine to the standard edition of Windows 8 if you are running Starter or either of the Home editions of 7. If you're running 7 Pro or Ultimate/Enterprise, you'll need to use Windows 8 Pro to use the in-place upgrade. I'm work on my mini laptop...

My twitter feed was filled with people complaining but I never had problem at all. I used it fairly heavily between 6pm to about 1am before heading to be. My best educated guess is heavy traffic on the server.
